Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for coming to this year's "2008 Florida Corgi Picnic" it certainly turned out to be a GREAT success and NO rain! We had 196 Humans and 120 Corgis. We donated $500 to Sunshine Corgi Rescue and $2045.61 to CorgiAid. Plus, we have already reserved Paradise Pet Resort for next year which will be our 10th Annual Florida Corgi Picnic, so mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, 2009. I am hoping we can even make next year into an even larger, greater success.
We want to thank our volunteers for this year.
Deb and Ed Troyano and Elizabeth for setting up lunch and cleaning up afterwards. You all did an awesome job there. Pet resort remarked about how clean we left everything.
Liz Jaffee, Lauren Williams, and Keith Darby for helping them.
Thank you to Sue Kain for donating the raffle prizes and doing the raffle. You totally impressed us with them. We're sure all the winners were very happy with those nice prizes.
Pastor Chuck Morgan for doing another great job with the auction.
Cyndi Rabey for helping him and Sue with the raffle. Gary and Linda Minnick for keeping track and taking the money for the auction.
Wendy Dunham and Keith Darby along with Dawn and George Murray for checking in everyone as they came in. And last but not least, John Bateman, for helping with the parking. We couldn't have done this without all of your help.
The raffle items that you all brought this year were really outstanding. I heard many people remarking on that.
We, now, have this one under our belts so we know where we need to improve. We can save some money with a couple more volunteers for parking. If someone has a PA system that would help a whole lot. We can rent one but that is a $50 bill we could save if someone can help us there. We are open to suggestions. If you have any please just email us at
floridacorgipicnic@gmail.com
Well, you'll start hearing from us again around August 2009.
We hope everyone has Blessed Holidays.
Celeste and Karl

The Florida Corgi Picnic benefits CorgiAid. Thanks to the hard work of Betty and George Bost for the past years, there was over 120 humans, 70+ Corgis of all shapes and sizes and a $1600+ donation to CorgiAid for 2007.
This year the picnic is being hosted by Celeste and Karl Militzer. Our goal is to continue to increase this picnic each year with attendance and donations to support CorgiAid from Florida.
